Across the UK and around the world, many women face difficult and often hidden challenges — from the impact of domestic or sexual violence to the ongoing effects of trauma and poor mental health.

At SAKA International CIC, we believe that healing begins with understanding, respect, and the right support.
Our TearDrop project was created to provide a safe, compassionate, and confidential space for women to rebuild their confidence and wellbeing through education, peer connection, and trauma-informed care.

A Safe Space for Healing

For too many women, experiences of abuse or trauma are compounded by silence, stigma, or lack of access to help.
TearDrop works to change that. We provide a supportive environment where women can talk openly, learn coping strategies, and access mental health information in a culturally sensitive way.

Our sessions are designed to:

  • Increase understanding of mental health and emotional wellbeing
  • Provide information about recognising and responding to trauma
  • Signpost women to specialist counselling and crisis services
  • Build peer support networks that foster trust and resilience

Every conversation, every small step toward healing, matters.

“For the first time, I felt someone listened without judgment,” shared one participant. “It gave me strength to move forward.”

Education and Empowerment

The TearDrop project also focuses on education and prevention.
We run community awareness sessions that help women recognise unhealthy relationships, understand their rights, and access available services.
By promoting open dialogue about emotional wellbeing, we help reduce stigma and encourage early intervention.

Our aim is to empower women with knowledge — because knowing how to seek help is the first step toward recovery.

Guided by Research and Collaboration

Through our partnership with TLSPH Ltd, SAKA International CIC integrates research into women’s mental health and trauma recovery into the TearDrop programme.
This research allows us to understand the root causes, barriers to accessing care, and the most effective support strategies.
Our evidence-based approach ensures that the help we provide is both compassionate and informed.

Together We Can Make a Difference

Healing from trauma takes time — but no woman should have to walk that path alone.
By working together as a community, we can build safe spaces, increase awareness, and promote wellbeing for women from all walks of life.

You can support TearDrop by:

  • Volunteering your professional expertise
  • Supporting our mental health workshops
  • Partnering with us to expand trauma-informed programmes

Every act of support helps create hope where it’s needed most.
