SAKA International CIC was established in 2015 in the United Kingdom. It was inspired  by global events and its impact on the lives of women. Over the years, we have become a trusted and effective charitable foundation continuously working hard to improve womens lives.
At SAKA International CIC, we’re raising funds and promoting initiatives to help women. We welcome you to join our endeavours aimed at improving women's lives. Contact us to learn how you can become part of the change."

At SAKA International CIC, we believe that meaningful change begins with compassion, collaboration, and community. Founded in 2015 by a husband-and-wife team, our journey began with a visit to Bangladesh, where the BABY & ME Project was launched in a small, rural community clinic. Though the clinic was inadequate and not fit for purpose, the dedication of local midwives and community nurses was extraordinary. Their resilience, compassion, and determination to care for mothers and babies — even in the most challenging circumstances — became the inspiration and foundation of SAKA International CIC.

Since then, SAKA International CIC has grown into a dynamic, women-led organisation committed to improving women’s health, community wellbeing, and health research both locally and globally. Our two founders and three directors — all passionate and dedicated individuals — bring together a diverse range of expertise across public health, medicine, education, and community engagement. Each member of our leadership team shares a commitment to equity, empowerment, and evidence-based action.

Supporting our leadership is a dedicated team of researchers and volunteers who work tirelessly to deliver health initiatives, gather data, and connect with communities. Our research team combines academic knowledge with practical experience in public health and medical practice, while our volunteers come from all walks of life, united by a shared desire to make a difference.

We are also fortunate to have the ongoing support of independent educational institutions, government partners, and international collaborators who share our vision of advancing women’s health and strengthening community resilience. Together, we are building bridges between research, policy, and practice — empowering women, families, and communities to thrive.
