At SAKA International CIC, research is at the heart of everything we do.
As a UK-based charity working both locally and globally, we are committed to understanding the complex factors that affect women’s health, wellbeing, and empowerment — and using that knowledge to design effective, sustainable solutions.

Through our partnership with TLSPH Ltd, we conduct research that bridges the gap between community experience and academic insight. Our goal is to ensure that every project we deliver — from maternal health to mental wellbeing and education — is guided by evidence and real-world data.

Research That Reflects Real Lives

Many of the challenges women face are interconnected — access to healthcare, education, and social support are all vital components of wellbeing.

Our research explores these relationships through:

  • Women’s Health Studies: examining barriers to healthcare and reproductive health education.
  • Mental Health and Trauma Recovery: understanding the effects of violence, displacement, and stress on women’s emotional wellbeing.
  • Education and Empowerment: studying how access to learning impacts confidence, employment, and community participation.
  • Community Health Promotion: evaluating how grassroots initiatives improve outcomes for women and families.

Each study aims to inform better practice — not only within our own programmes but also across the wider voluntary and public health sectors.

Collaboration and Global Reach

Our collaboration with TLSPH Ltd allows us to combine community-level insight with technical and analytical expertise.
Together, we design and deliver ethically sound, data-driven research that meets academic standards while remaining grounded in real community needs.

This partnership enables us to:

  • Publish findings that contribute to public health knowledge.
  • Share practical recommendations for improving women’s services.
  • Strengthen our international collaborations and outreach programmes.

Our work ensures that local voices inform global understanding — creating a cycle of learning that benefits women everywhere.

Ethical Practice and Social Responsibility

Every research activity at SAKA International CIC follows strict ethical standards.
We prioritise informed consent, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity at all stages of data collection and reporting.

Our commitment is not only to produce knowledge but to use it responsibly — ensuring that research directly improves lives and strengthens community resilience.

From Data to Action

Research is most powerful when it leads to change.
At SAKA International CIC, our findings are translated into practical interventions, training resources, and policy recommendations that shape the future of women’s health and wellbeing.

We are proud to be part of a growing network of organisations and professionals who believe in evidence-based change — where compassion meets data, and knowledge becomes impact.

“Our mission is simple,” says the SAKA International CIC team. “To turn evidence into action — and action into progress.”
